NewBay Names Joe Territo Chief Content Officer

NEW YORK, NY (September 6, 2017) — Joe Territo has been named Chief Content Officer of NewBay, a new position established to intensify audience engagement with communities that connect business purchase decision makers to product and service providers, CEO Steve Palm announced today.

Territo will focus on enhancing creation, packaging and delivery of critical information and thought leadership content through digital, event and magazine products — to help business professionals solve problems and seize opportunities. He will emphasize making actionable business data and networking experiences easy to find and user-friendly – most especially through search, social, mobile and video distribution. These efforts will significantly increase NewBay’s already sizable audience and drive reader engagement to further facilitate opportunities for demand generation and brand/product awareness with the company’s 4,000 marketing partners.

Prior to NewBay, Territo was Chief Content Officer at Penton, accelerating engagement and user experience innovation, expanding the company’s digital footprint, and driving event participation. Before Penton, Territo held executive positions with the Newhouse family’s Advance Digital and Time Inc., specializing in print-to-digital transformation.

Territo immediately will engage with NewBay’s U.S. Business Information portfolio, including the Technology, Tech & Learning, TV Sector, and Broadcasting & Video groups.

“Joe has a terrific track record of creating value for audiences and marketers through innovative content that serves the evolving needs of growing communities,” states Steve Palm, CEO, NewBay. “His experience in developing high-value digital content experiences and engaging audiences through mobile, social and events make him the ideal person to lead our team of respected and distinguished editors and journalists.”

“NewBay is the content leader in nearly all the markets they serve,” says Territo. “I am proud to be joining this talented team. I look forward to developing best practices with them, and increasing capabilities to accelerate growth – especially in digital and events.”

NewBay also announced that Carmel King has been named Executive Vice President, Content and Business Operations. King will tap her decades of business information experience and leadership, in partnership with Territo, to enhance deployment of new approaches that maximize content impact on client value across the company’s many products.
