New Initiatives, Redesigns for TWICE

NEW YORK, NY (February 11, 2014) — The 2014 International CES® successfully showcased the all-new Official CES Daily, published by TWICE (This Week in Consumer Electronics), the leading business publication serving the consumer electronics industry. While the content continued to be produced by the most-respected editorial team in the industry, everything else was changed — a more portable size, an updated design, and new sections and product focuses.

The change was well received and met positively by attendees. Aside from the terrific feedback, demand for the issues exceeded expectations. In addition to the on-site copies, TWICE, published by NewBay Media, delivered more than 200,000 digital copies via email over the four days.

Also getting redesigned is TWICE.com — the online destination for news and analysis for the consumer electronics industry. Debuting in March, TWICE.com, which hosted an average of 135,000 visitors each month from July through December last year, will have a clean, modern look, enhanced functionality, and an improved video hub. The site is being designed to be fully responsive so it will look great and function properly across all mobile devices — including smartphones and tablets.

One of those new offerings is TWICE@Home, a twice-yearly special supplement devoted to the growing world of smart home technology innovations and the internet of things. These supplements will cover everything from home automation and security to smart appliances to alternative home categories for retailers such as furniture, mattresses, and outdoor living space. Many products being introduced will be available at retail, and TWICE, as the prominent authority on the CE retail industry, will lend its perspective and analysis to this rapidly evolving category.

Another new offering is the TWICE Retail Guide to Outdoors, which is a special supplement that will capture the highly engaged outdoor enthusiast market and will feature products such as on-the-go action cameras, outdoor TVs and speakers, and so on.

The brand has also been busy producing events that bring key industry players together. Last fall, TWICE partnered with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® and introduced the UltraHD conference, sponsored by LG and Sony, in advance of CES Unveiled NY. At the 2014 CES, TWICE partnered with Cosmopolitan, the largest female brand in the world, for a conference track titled, “Digital Diva’s — Marketing Consumer Electronics to Millennial Women,” sponsored by Voxx and Ingram Micro. Upcoming events include a second UltraHD conference, a TWICE@Home event, and a summit concerning wireless and wearable technologies.

TWICE has also begun working deeply with the NewBay Plus Marketing Services division to offer custom content, native advertising, and lead nurturing programs to marketers.
