NEW YORK, NY (October 29, 2013) — NewBay Media, publisher of Mix, has announced the re-launch of the Mix Master Directory as an online research source for the pro audio industry. The Directory features thousands of listings of business services and production facilities in the professional audio industry — the most comprehensive resource of its kind in the world. The Mix Master Directory can be accessed at http://directory.mixonline.com/.
The re-launched Mix Master Directory provides in-depth information in the following categories:
• Production: Recording Studios; Sound Reinforcement Companies; Audio Post-Production Facilities; Schools; etc.
• Business Services: Pro Audio Equipment Retailers; Record Labels; Studio Designers; and others
• Manufacturers: Mixing Consoles; Digital Audio Workstations; Plug-Ins; Sound Libraries; Signal Processors; Software Instruments; Recorders; and much more
The Mix Master Directory was founded as a directory of recording studios in Northern California in 1977, along with the first issue of Mix magazine. From there, it appeared in every issue of Mix as a published regional section, with an annual directory published each year, until 2008.
Now, thanks to customer demand, the Mix Master Directory has been re-launched as a comprehensive, easy-to-use website.
“We are very excited to reboot the online version of the Mix Master Directory,” says Mix editor Tom Kenny. “Mix was founded as a directory of recording studios back in 1977, and over the past 35-plus years, we’ve worked hard to develop a directory-based network so that professionals can find audio services, whether they are in Dallas, Tulsa, Boston, Tallahassee, Los Angeles, or Spokane. The audio industry is larger than what you find on the coasts. Audio professionals can be found in every town in North America, and the Mix Master Directory provides that link.”
“It is our privilege to provide this valuable business tool to the pro audio industry,” adds Adam Goldstein, EVP/Group Publishing Director, NewBay Media. “I encourage all manufacturers and service providers to take advantage of this resource — both to find businesses to work with, and to make sure that their own listings are complete and up-to-date so they can be found by others.”
Listings in the Mix Master Directory are free, but there are low-cost options to creating enhanced listings that will attract the eyes of potential buyers.
