Verizon to Be Honored With 2015 Award For Leadership in Hispanic Television By Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News

NEW YORK, NY (August 11) – Verizon will be honored with the 2015 Award for Leadership in Hispanic Television at the 13th Annual Hispanic Television Summit, set for October 22 at the Park Central Hotel.

The annual award, presented by Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News, recognizes the   company for its significant and on-going commitment to the business of television for Hispanic audiences. This year, for the first time, the Hispanic Television Summit is one of the signature events that make up New York City Television Week, which also includes The Next TV Summit & Expo, The Content Show, Advanced Advertising and the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.

NEW YORK, NY (August 3, 2015) – David Muir will co-host the 2015 Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame,the prestigious annual event that honors the pioneers, innovators and stars of the electronic arts. Muir will join previously announced co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Regis Philbin at the famed Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, on Tuesday, October 20th.

David Muir, an Emmy Award-winning journalist for ABC News, anchors the flagship ABC News broadcast World News Tonight with David Muir and co-anchors the ABC newsmagazine 20/20. He joined ABC News in August 2003 as anchor of the overnight news program World News Now. For more than a decade, Muir has reported from international hotspots including Tehran, Tahrir Square, Mogadishu and Fukushima. In his first year as anchor of the evening news broadcast, Muir has reported from the Syrian border on child refugees and Mexico City on the treatment of disabled and orphaned children, and also landed an exclusive interview with President Obama on Cuba. NEW YORK, NY (July 27, 2015) – Hoda Kotb and Regis Philbin, two of television’s most celebrated and popular personalities, have been named to co-host part one of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame, the premiere industry event honoring the pioneers, innovators and stars of the electronic arts. The Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame is set for Tuesday, October 20 at the famed Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. The host for the second half of the 2015 event will be announced shortly.

Hoda Kotb is Co-Host, Fourth Hour of NBC’s TODAY alongside 2015 Hall of Fame honoree Kathie Lee Gifford. In addition to TODAY, Kotb serves as correspondent for Dateline, and she covers news, human interest stories and features across all NBC News platforms. Kotb is a New York Times bestselling author with two books: Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer and Kathie Lee and Ten Years Later: Six People Who Faced Adversity and Transformed Their Lives. Her third book, Where They Belong is out in January. A three-time Emmy winner, Kotb has also received a Peabody, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and three Gracies.

Regis Philbin, a prior Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame Honoree, first stepped in front of the camera more than 50 years ago and since then has tackled talk shows, game shows and the literary world, winning a slew of notable awards along the way. In 1999, Philbin took his daytime success to nighttime with ABC’s ratings juggernaut Who Wants To Be a Millionaire.In 2008, he was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Multichannel News Wins Neal Award for Best Profile
