Davis, who is chief content officer and principal of CustomMediaCo, will work with the NewBay Plus team to help manage and develop custom content for its customers’ audiences within commercial AV/IT and consumer electronics markets. For more than a decade, Davis has combined her unique vision and editorial expertise to deliver custom thought-leadership programs for some of the most influential companies in the AV/IT and consumer electronics industries.

“Cindy is a fantastic partner to our NewBay Plus team as she has ample experience understanding the needs of AV/IT and Consumer Electronics manufacturers and then creating powerful custom programs to drive thought leadership, brand awareness, and lead generation,” says Joe Braue, VP of Marketing Services for NewBay. Davis will specifically focus on companies targeting AV/IT end users, residential custom integrators, and consumer electronics manufacturers. NewBay reaches these audiences with its AV TechnologyResidential Systems, and TWICE media brands.

Davis joins Executive Editor David Keene as the top custom content editors for NewBay’s AV Group. “We look forward to attending the upcoming InfoComm 2017 Show as a team,” says Braue. Davis will continue as contributing editor to NewBay’s AV Technology magazine as well as content producer of its AV/IT Technology Leadership Summit series, a live event program that she helped launch and produce in 2016. Both the magazine brand and its Summit series are targeted to a growing and increasingly diverse audience of end users in corporate, higher education, health care, government, hospitality and other vertical markets.

“My passion has always been connecting with technology stakeholders and producing best-in-class content for users,” says Davis. “Whether it is a consumer audience looking to enhance their lives through technology or AV/IT managers needing to build efficiencies into their daily jobs, my goal is to deliver creative, high-impact content with value and agility that meets people where they are. I am excited to work with NewBay Plus and help develop exciting thought-leadership content for clients across multiple platforms.”

In addition to creating custom content, Davis has deep publishing and editing experience in the AV and Consumer Electronics spaces. She’s contributed to InfoComm International’s Exceptional Experience series of case studies. In 2011, she developed a comprehensive launch strategy for TechDecisions (TD), EH Media’s first online-only, B2B content websites, which was named one of “10 Great Business Media Websites” in 2012 by B2B Media Business magazine.

The event provides an excellent networking and education conference for sound designers, editors, mixers, recordists, Foley artists, composers, technologists, chief engineers, and all those working in audio post-production. I’m excited to start calling up some of the talent!”

Following its launch in 2014, with a focus on the emerging immersive sound formats, the one-day exhibition and expert-panel event has expanded into sound design, production sound, virtual reality, television post, and other areas. NewBay Wins Folio: Marketing Awards for Customized Site and Integrated Marketing

NEW YORK, NY (December 13, 2016) — NewBay has won two 2016 Folio: Marketing Awards — one for the Best Customized Site (TWICE/LG CES 2016 Social Media Hub) and one for Integrated Marketing (Multichannel News and B&C/RSG Media Integrated Marketing Program). NewBay joined fellow winners at an award ceremony held this afternoon at New York City’s Yale Club.

According to Folio:, the winners of this year’s awards represent the greatest marketing achievements across both the B2B and consumer sectors of the industry, elevating their brands and clients to levels above and beyond the competition.

“We congratulate NewBay for being among our 2016 winners of the Folio: Marketing Awards,” says Folio: Vice President of Content Tony Silber. “These awards recognize the most innovative marketing activities in magazine media, and the honorees represent the best of the best in their peer sets.”

“We are honored to be recognized for our innovative marketing solutions capabilities and excited about the growth of our NewBay Plus Marketing Services Group,” says NewBay CEO Steve Palm. “This year, NewBay Plus has delivered more than 125 marketing programs to 115 different clients — solving their thought leadership, brand/product awareness, and demand-generation challenges.”

The winning programs are briefly outlined below.

TWICE/LG CES 2016 Social Media Hub
LG, one of the largest consumer electronics manufacturers in the world, has long supported the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as an exhibitor. At the 2016 CES, LG teamed with TWICE and NewBay Plus, NewBay’s Marketing Services Division, to create a Social Media Hub for CES 2016 where the TWICE editorial team curated the most relevant Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media postings for the show in real time. The site focused on the vital business and technology issues being discussed at CES with focus on CE manufacturers and retailers, the TWICE audience. This integrated marketing program gave exclusive exposure to LG’s social media and targeted CE and retailer marketing agendas at the show.

The hub became a trusted resource for show attendees, and, as a result, traffic expectations for the site were set at 25,000 and were exceeded by more than 100 percent.

Multichannel News and B&C/RSG Media Integrated Marketing Program
RSG Media needed to reach deeper into the rights management market with one of their popular products. To help them gain product awareness with this audience, NewBay Plus created an integrated multichannel marketing program that defined the growing rights management marketplace in the media and entertainment industry using the influential NewBay brands Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News. The program included ads and custom content placed across the full portfolio of the brands, including magazines, newsletters, web sites, lead-generation ebook, and live and virtual events.

The results included more traffic to RSG’s online properties and a growth in sales.

Third Annual TWICE Picks Awards Open For Nominations

NEW YORK, NY (October 26, 2016) — TWICE, the authority in CE news and analysis, has announced the opening of nominations for the third annual TWICE Picks Awards. The awards were developed to find the most outstanding products that will be on display at CES and get them the attention they deserve.

TWICE_PicksAwards_logo-01TWICE editors will investigate the latest and greatest announcements from participating vendors, and they will each rate their impressions on a sliding scale. They will then meet to decide on which products, services, and technologies could have the most impact on retail and the marketplace and thus deserves the TWICE Picks Award.

“The big question after CES is, ‘What were the best products at the show,’ ” says Ed Hecht, publisher, TWICE. “We created the TWICE Picks Awards to answer that question, and to give the winning participants a unique, long-lasting opportunity to promote their extraordinary efforts.”

Winning products will be announced at a dedicated cocktail reception that takes place on January 6, 2017, the second day of CES, at 5:30 pm in the South Hall. Winners will also be featured in the January 23, 2017 issue of TWICE, as well as on TWICE.com, the TWICE enewsletter. TWICE social media, and in a special TWICE Picks Awards digital issue. In total, over 150,000 CE influencers, buyers, decision makers, and press will be reached through these post-show efforts.

Beyond the significant industry exposure, winning entries will receive a trophy that will be presented to a company representative during the cocktail reception at CES and high-resolution “TWICE Picks Award Winner” logos that can be placed on all product marketing and packaging. Additionally all winners will be named in a press release from TWICE that emphasizes the caliber of the award-winning products.

New for this year is the Super Picks Award, which will be presented to the company with the most winning entries — more entries equals more chances to win. For every three entries submitted, earn one free bonus entry.

To enter, click here. Nomination fee is $495 per entry, if you enter by November 14, 2016. After that date the price is $595 per entry. As mentioned previously, multiple entry discounts are available. Deadline to enter is December 12, 2016.
