The latest iteration is Guitar World Lessons, an app and webstore launched last week that puts the distribution of instructional content in line with the consumer demands for its consumption. Users can now get those premium guitar lessons on their laptops or iOS devices, instead of by DVD.

Roger Daltrey honoured for teenage cancer work

The Who frontman Roger Daltrey has won a major music industry prize for his work with the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The singer has organised the charity’s annual concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, booking artists like Arctic Monkeys, Tinie Tempah and Paul Weller.

Presenting the outstanding contribution prize at the Music Week awards, Weller praised Daltrey’s “tireless, fantastic work” for a “very worthwhile charity.”

Greater Expectations: Marketing a Rebranded Show
NewBay Media aims to double the size of its video trade show with a new name and market-specific education program.
As the executive vice president of the Broadcast/Video Group for NewBay Media, Carmel King oversees 13 print and electronic media brands, co-branded summits, custom projects such as the National Association of Broadcasters’ show daily and two trade shows. The trade show previously known as the Digital Video Expo is being rebranded this year as the Next | Video Conference and Expo. It will be held Oct. 1-3 at the Pasadena (Calif.) Convention Center. King explains the change and how it will be marketed.
